This dastardly group plots to steal and use Pokémon for their own nefarious ends! You can easily recognize Team Rocket Grunts by their black uniforms and the large Rs on their chests.
You'll need to fight Team Rocket on several occasions to hamper their plans. With enough determination, you may even discover the leader of this band of ruffians.
Although you'll battle many Team Rocket Grunts throughout your adventure, a particular trio of troublemakers will repeatedly rear their mischievous heads. Jessie, James, and Meowth are frequent foes in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!
These notable Team Rocket members like to send out their Poison-type Pokémon Ekans and Koffing, so make sure you're prepared to fight!
What Is a Pokémon Gym?
Pokémon Gyms are places for Pokémon Trainers to test their skill in battle. Defeating a Gym Leader will earn a Pokémon Trainer a Gym Badge.
To challenge a Gym, you need to meet certain conditions presented at the entrance. Although the conditions of each Gym vary—such as having Pokémon of certain types or levels—fulfilling them will help get you ready to battle the Gym Leader.
Take On the Pokémon League!

A Champion is the most powerful Pokémon Trainer in a given region of the Pokémon world. Those who hope to claim that lofty title must face a hurdle, though—the Pokémon League!
In order to become Champion, a Trainer must first defeat the powerful Elite Four that stand in their way. Power up your partner and your party Pokémon, and take on this final challenge!

Master Trainers
Once you become the Pokémon League Champion, your journey is far from over! After earning that coveted title, you will find new special Trainers scattered throughout the Kanto region. These are the Master Trainers, and each of them is considered the strongest Trainer for a specific Pokémon. That's right—there's a Master Trainer for every Pokémon in the Kanto region!
Master Trainers are always thinking about their favorite Pokémon, so you can spot them at a glance. The icon of the Pokémon they favor is displayed above their heads, and the color of their attire is different than other Trainers, too.
Some Master Trainers will have a simple request for you, but most of them will want to battle! The only catch is that they will only battle against the species of Pokémon they love. You'll need to train up each of your Pokémon to take on these tough challengers. Because these Master Trainer battles are true tests of you and your Pokémon's strength, neither you nor the Master Trainer will be able to use items during the match.
Best the Master Trainers in battle to earn their title, proving that you're also a master of their favorite species. The titles that you've earned can even be displayed in-game during Link Battles, so your friends can admire your skills. Show what a devoted Trainer you are by challenging all the Master Trainers!
